Mission

Mission The primary mission of the Metroplex Marine Coordinating Council (MMCC) is to aid all locally stationed Marines, regular and reserve, while said Marines are stationed in the Metroplex.

Additionally, the MMCC is to serve as a monthly forum to allow all local Marines and local Marine related organizations to "pass the word" on any and all Marine Corps related activity that is scheduled or will occur in the Metroplex.

Finally, the MMCC also exists to provide civilian aid to the Marine Corps in the accomplishment of its mission through the coordination of local activities and events.

The MMCC really is a forum to make sure there is no duplication of effort in Marine related activities.  We serve the active duty units; they do not serve us.  We ask them if they need any help and then try to provide it;  we do not ask for help from the local Commands.  Because the Corps now has an official "Community Relations" mandate, we do from time to time request local Command assets to help on "Community Relations" projects the local Commands would have to, or does, perform with our help.
